My take on @ann.therosee's DTIYS on Instagram.

The focus of this illustration was the characters striking eyes. Grounding the character in an environment by using a mix of photo-bashing and hand painting helped create a narrative. Strong contrast with warm and cold colors were chosen to highlight the setting sun and bring to the fore the character's striking white jacket and hair against black top and pants. The verticality of the composition both dwarfs the character and elevates them as she stands confidently half shrouded in darkness.
