Environment concept art.
Speed paints and environment concepts of three different game locations to communicate the eerie unsettling feeling of the deep. The games direction has a focus on its moody aesthetic and style as it takes place entirely underwater. Each location emphasizes different aspects of skateboarding from rolling down pipes and ramps to grinding rails in addition to more fantastical abilities such as riding currents.
Making distinct areas from while still maintaining the feel of the same depth was a challenge. Inspired by skate parks, I played with the terrain to create a unique feel between the environments.
